Access & Special Needs

We are working hard to make the Festival accessible to all our visitors and patrons with disabilities, as it is our goal to offer everyone an enjoyable experience. We offer the following for our guests:

  • Accessible parking at multiple locations throughout the site
  • Select wheelchair and companion seating at all venues
  • Courtesy wheelchairs at venues, when confirmed in advance
  • Hearing-impaired support systems in performance venues
  • Select interpreted performances
  • Large print programs, when requested in advance
  • Select closed captioned movie screenings at Top of the Park
  • Accessible restrooms at all performance venues, including portable ADA restrooms at Top of the Park
  • Disability awareness and sensitivity training for staff and volunteers
  • Ramps for additional access to Top of the Park area sidewalks
  • Partnerships with local organizations to invite special needs children and youth camps for field trip visits to Top of the Park events.

In addition, the Festival’s “Good Neighbor Ticket Program” is a unique outreach initiative that provides human service agencies in the greater Washtenaw County area with complimentary tickets to select indoor performances.  The program is offered to those whose financial and/or social situation would otherwise prohibit them from experiencing live performances of the performing arts.

If you have any further questions, please call the Festival office at (734) 994-5999.
